Stephen Hillenburg — the creator of the strike Nickelodeon clearly show “SpongeBob SquarePants” — formally died of heart failure as a consequence of his ALS, but the extra interesting tidbit … his continues to be ended up scattered at sea — and you gotta hope he’ll rest in Bikini Base.
In accordance to Hillenburg’s death certification — attained by TMZ — the animator’s quick lead to of loss of life was cardiopulmonary failure owing to ALS — the prognosis which he publicly unveiled in 2017. The doc also reveals that Hillenburg was cremated and his ashes were scattered at sea — at minimum 500 yards off the coastline of California, to be much more unique.
As we claimed … Hillenburg died late previous month right after battling the fatal sickness for much more than a calendar year. Nickelodeon called him “a beloved close friend and extensive-time creative associate” and praised his seminal work on ‘SBSP’ as “a reminder of the benefit of optimism, friendship and the limitless power of imagination.”
Hillenburg is survived by his spouse and son. He was 57.
